Australian Life Underwriters and Claims Association (ALUCA) respects your rights under the National Privacy Principles in the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
This policy describes what information ALUCA holds about you, and what we use this information for.

Information ALUCA holds about you
ALUCA holds some or all of the following information about our members:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Telephone numbers
  • Fax number
  • Email address

We use this information to

  • Send you copies of our newsletters and other information about ALUCA activities and related matters
  • Send you discussion papers and questionnaires for you to fill out and return to us if you wish
  • Process membership payments and any other payments as specifically requested by you, and issue receipts
  • Respond to your enquiries
  • Seek your assistance or involvement in ALUCA activities
  • Acknowledge your support, by name only, in ALUCA publications.
We give information to
If you are a member of ALUCA your name and contact information may be sent to the state branch of ALUCA in the state in which you live. This is because when you join ALUCA you also become a member of your state branch. Your state branch may need this information so that they can send you information such as their newsletters and local activities.
We do not give your information to anyone else (unless required by law) without your permission.
Information provided via any form on this site is used solely to assist with fulfilling the users needs and is not sold to any 3rd parties or used in advertising or promotions.
If you do not wish to receive information from ALUCA or from your state branch, you can tell us and we will not send it to you.

Information that we send to you from other people or organisations
ALUCA sometimes receives requests from other people or organisations to send information to our members. This is mainly for the benefits of our members. It might also be information about products and services that are suitable for our members.
We do not give your information to these other people or organisations.
Instead, they send us the information they want to send to you, and we send it to you for them.
If you do not wish to receive information from other people or organisations you can tell ALUCA, and we will not send it to you.

Using the ALUCA website
When you view information on our website, you are not required to give any personal information about yourself. This website contains a visitors log which records the number of times our website is visited. This log does not record any personal information about you.
When you send an email to ALUCA or one of its committee members via a link on the website, you are required to send us your email address. We use this information to reply to your email. We do not add this information to any mailing lists or give it to any other person or organisation without your consent.
We do not currently use cookies on our website to collect personal information about you.

You may find out what information ALUCA holds about you at any time.
If you believe our information about you is incorrect or incomplete, you can contact us and ask us to correct it.
